Can I store more than one TXTguides eBook on my phone?
Yes. Providing you have enough memory capacity on your phone, you can save the entire library of TXTguides if you wish. This means that you can carry all the titles necessary to cover linked ski areas.
Why don't TXTguides include piste maps and images?
Mobile phone display screens are generally very small, and there are hundreds of variations in screen size/resolution on many different models, all requiring separate image files. Therefore, we decided to keep TXTguides text-based; that way, they work on most handsets, are quick to download, and take up very little memory space on your phone.
I'm already in resort, can I download TXTguides here?
Yes; in exactly the same ways as if you were at home.
ANDORRA RESTRICTIONS: the Andorran telecoms provider (STA/Mobiland) does not currently offer mobile data download services; TXTguides are accessible in Andorra via computer download and Bluetooth transfer only.
It's best to download and install TXTguides before you travel to Andorra.
What if I can't get a signal in the mountains?
Once you've installed and saved TXTguides on your mobile, you don't need to have a network signal in order to use them. You can open and read them anytime, anywhere, FREE-OF-CHARGE: you can even read them on tube trains and all the way through the channel tunnel; if your handset has a special Flight Mode setting, you can read them whilst on aircraft too
(CAUTION: airline regulations vary, please check with cabin staff first).
How much will I be charged to use TXTguides overseas?
TXTguides can be used anywhere in the world FREE-OF-CHARGE.
NB: your network provider may charge you extra for data transfer when roaming if you download new titles or update those you already have.
