Other Activities at Les Deux Alpes
Les 2 Alpes is marketed as a high-energy high-altitude mountain resort, accessible to everyone. To this end, a good range of attractions & activities are available to complement the principal snowsports.
Bookings for most of the activities can be made at the central tourist office (Maison des 2 Alpes) in the place des 2 Alpes in the middle of the resort.

All outdoor activities & events are subject to favourable weather conditions.

Sheer Vertical
An amazing adventure sport, sure to appeal to all adrenaline junkies.
A mountain guide teaches you the basics of climbing with ice axes & crampons, then you get to scale an incredible frozen waterfall.

Ice Rink
Les Deux Alpes has an Olympic-size outdoor ice rink, located next to the swimming pool on the rue des Sagnes, close to the central place des 2 Alpes. This great facility is a real focal point of the resort. It is overlooked by the piste-side bars at the edge of the central base-area pistes, with great views up the home-run slopes.

Entrance to the ice rink is free for all holders of current Super Ski lift passes of at least six days duration; otherwise there is a small admission charge. Skate hire is available on site; there is a small extra charge for these for all users.
Open daily 10:30–12:30, 15:00–18:30, and 20:30–23:00hrs
(not open for skating during ‘Ice Glider’ sessions, see below).

Ice Gliders  A really unusual activity, and great fun for all; based at the resort's open-air ice rink. Basically, these are bumper cars on ice, powered by car batteries. You are free to bump & bash exactly as you would at a fairground.
Available on Tuesdays 15:15–17:30hrs + Mondays & Wednesdays 20:45–22:30hrs, weather permitting. Small admission charge payable per person.

Tobogganing
No previous experience is needed for this classic fun activity. Simply sit down and hold tight to race down the base-area snowfields on a glorified tray!
A dedicated sledging/toboggan area is cordoned off next to the Lutins piste, close to the Jandri 1 gondola station (25) on the central base-area slopes.
This facility is unsupervised, but is bounded by inflatable crash-barrier tubes.

Entrance is free-of-charge for all responsible users, but it is primarily designated as a children's facility; adults are permitted to use the slope on Tuesday & Thursday evenings only, when the base-area slopes are floodlit for night-skiing.

Winter Hiking
Referred to locally as ‘raquettes’, snowshoes provide a great way for all visitors to get out into the more tranquil corners of the mountains, where you are more likely to spot Alpine wildlife.

Modern snowshoes are made of lightweight materials and are very easy to master. They work by spreading your weight over a wider surface area, allowing you to walk more easily over deep snow, using a pair of ski poles for balance.

Follow the waymarked snowshoe routes in the Pied Moutet sector, or hire a guide and head off into the wilds. Evening excursions under the stars are also available, including dinner at the atmospheric La Bergerie Kanata mountain restaurant.
Equipment hire is available at most good ski-rental shops.

Caution
Stay off to the sides of the pistes when venturing on-foot into the ski area.

Municipal Pool
Les Deux Alpes has a 25 × 12 m open-air [heated] municipal swimming pool located in the resort centre, next to the ice rink on rue des Sagnes, close to the central base-area slopes.

Entrance is free-of-charge for holders of current Super Ski lift passes of at least six days duration, and for children under 5 years of age. Otherwise, a small admission charge is payable. A Jacuzzi and sauna are also available at an extra charge.
Bathing caps are obligatory, these are available on site.

Club Forme Health & Fitness Centre
This centre located at the Grande Place in Les 2 Alpes 1800 has a small indoor swimming pool, a fitness suite, sauna, hamman, Jacuzzi, and squash courts.
The swimming pool is open 15:00–19:00hrs Sunday–Friday;
the other facilities are open 10:00–Noon + 14:00–20:30hrs Sunday–Friday, and 14:00–20:00hrs on Saturdays.
