Sector: Pied Moutet (Vallée Blanche)
Definitely the most authentic & atmospheric venue in Les 2 Alpes' ski domain.
Housed in a converted barn in the midst of the principal
Vallée Blanche slopes in the Pied Moutet sector.
Very chilled ambiance: with background music at a sociable volume and a couple of rows of deckchairs on the wide piste-side terrace, plus plenty of bench-style tables & seating outside & inside. The cosy interior is rustically decorated, and centred around a raised open fireplace.
The food selection ranges from basic snacks to wholesome regional specialities, including tartiflette; fresh mussels + chips + beer are also available every Friday at a special all-inclusive price. A full bar service is available all day every day.
This location can also be reached easily by non-skiers, using the way-marked snowshoe trails leading from/to the base of the slopes at either end of the resort. Guided night-time snowshoe treks, including dinner, are a regular event.
The Kanata is also renowned for its ‘Igloo Village’: overnight stays in the igloos are possible (specialised 4-season sleeping bags are provided), with dinner & breakfast included in the price.
