Sector: Pied Moutet
The sole lift connecting the eastern & western flanks of Les Deux Alpes, allowing you to link into the Pied Moutet sector from the main base-area slopes without having to walk or carry your kit.
Based next to the
Petite Aiguille chairlift (2), beside a small [free] open-air car park just off the main road at the entrance to Les Deux Alpes (Alpe de Mont-de-Lans). There is also a lift-pass sales kiosk and a comprehensive ski-area information display-board here too.
Accessible on-piste via a green-graded link-route which winds through the residential area of the Alpe de Mont-de-Lans quarter, from the
Champamé piste at the northern end of the main base-area slopes; as well as by the
Petite Aiguille and the
Côte pistes, the latter being the sole link piste from the Pied Moutet sector.
Shortly after mounting the lift, you pass above/across the main road to make the cross-resort journey towards the central mid-level area of the Pied Moutet sector.
On Arrival: at the upper terminal, U-turn to the right on dismount for the easy ride off around the lift attendant's cabin to join the start of the
Côte piste.
The atmospheric piste-side
Bergerie Kanata bar/restaurant is just a short easy glide below this point: the route passing in front of its terrace is a spur of the main
Vallée Blanche piste, linking to the base of the principal
Vallée Blanche chairlift (19) which serves the bulk of the slopes in this sector. The
Côte piste also sweeps past the Bergerie Kanata building, but passes higher to the skier's left of it to swoop down the hillside behind it towards the pisted footbridge across the main road to link with the Petite Aiguille (2) and La Côte (2a) chairlifts base again.
