Sector:  Cretes
A steep shortcut into the Thuit Coomb from the Lac du Plan level, with a number of lines off to the sides offering a great initiation to off-piste for more progressive intermediates.

The slope has a black-equivalent profile, tamed by this red-graded piste down the safest line. It begins off the lip of the upper section of the Jandri 2, on the upper arc of the cirque in the Thuit Coomb. You can pick almost any point to drop off on to the immediately steep & rocky slope, or simply follow the marked route of the Thuit 4 piste itself. Check first that there is enough snow cover before riding off to the sides, and take time to plan your line down the boulder-strewn margins.

The descent finishes across a little stream gully at the edge of the Thuit 2 piste, where you then swoop down to the skier's right to enjoy the lower section of that piste towards the Thuit & Thuit Cretes chairlifts.
