Not all
Les 2 Alpes' area lift passes permit access to
La Grave/La Meije, so do check with the lift pass office before setting out.
Route: From the top of the
Dôme de la Lauze T-bar tow (52), you can reach the neighbouring La Grave/La Meije ski area in one of two ways: either towed behind the free inter-station tracked-vehicle link (weekdays only, except holidays, and limited to a maximum of 500 passengers per day); or, by trekking/skating along the pisted track across the wide summit ridge.
On reaching the area next to the upper terminal of La Grave's La Girose button tow (marked on the local piste map as lift ‘D’), take the blue-graded marked piste running parallel down the skier's righthand side of that lift. Continue past its base terminal below, via the clearly marked piste heading straight on across the glacier towards the base terminal of the Trifides button tow (lift C) ahead skier's left.
The Haut Dessus bar/restaurant and the upper-terminal station for the [2-stage] La Meije cable cars are then just below skier's left, along a short pisted ridge track.
