Options
Various lift passes are available, depending on duration and on whether you want a local or a full area pass. Prices are consistent throughout the main season, with no high-season supplements. The two principal options are:
Ski Sympa A local pass covering all low- & mid-altitude lifts (lifts numbered 1–21); available on a daily basis.
Super Ski Full area pass, covering all lifts; available as day passes and multiples thereof, the longer the duration the cheaper the equivalent daily rate.
Access to the nearby ski lifts and off-piste ski area at
La Grave/La Meije is available at a supplement on all Super Ski passes of up to five days duration; passes of at least six days duration automatically include this access at no additional cost (subject to the links being open), as well as access to
Alpe d'Huez (transport not included) plus the resorts of the
Grande Galaxie ski region.
All Super Ski passes of more than six days duration additionally include free access to Les Deux Alpes' ice rink (small charge for skate hire) and outdoor heated swimming pool; special discounts are also offered on a range of alternative activities for holders of these passes; for current offers, plus terms & conditions, please enquire at the central lift pass sales office in the place des 2 Alpes.
Pedestrian Passes
If you are a non-skier, but wish to travel up to the high-altitude restaurants and viewpoints, you can purchase a ‘Pedestrian Pass’ covering all of the cable cars & gondolas, the funicular, plus some chairlifts.
Further information for non-skiers is given in the
Alternative Activities chapter.
Where to Buy a Ticket
All Ski Sympa & Super Ski passes are available from four main sales offices in resort (details below); and can be pre-booked online via the
Ski-Ride Travel Directory.
Day passes can only be purchased on-site: at any of the four main sales points, or at any of the additional day-pass kiosks located at the base terminals of a number of ski lifts dotted around the base-area slopes.
Day-passes & pedestrian passes are also available from the lift attendants' cabins at the Venosc gondola (17).
