LE PANORAMIC (££) & PANO-BAR (£+)
Sector: Toura
Located on the upper level of the sector interchange area at Toura 2600, close to the cable cars' stations. Arranged over two floors: ground floor bar (Pano-Bar); first floor restaurant (Le Panoramic).
Le Panoramic
An attractive traditional-style chalet with an elevated south-facing terrace, giving sweeping vistas over the Bellecombes area towards the summit of Tête Moute.
A nice feature is the free-of-charge, staffed, backpack/equipment storage service just inside the main piste-side entrance, at the bottom of the stairs leading to/from the restaurant level on the first floor.
The restaurant is self-service, but there is waiter service for drinks.
The main dining saloon is quite plain & rustic, but airy & bright; the section to the far side of the bar used to house a segregated à la carte dining area, and is still a bit more polished. There is also a separate crêpes service point in the middle of the main saloon, and a microwave for public use.
The fair-sized terrace has deckchairs plus bench-style tables & seating, with waiter service for drinks.
The self-service food selection offers a range of ready-made salads & hot dishes: mostly pastas and/or meat & vegetable combos, plus tarts & puddings, together with canned & bottled drinks; wine is available in good-value pichets.
Pano-Bar
Located on the ground floor, underneath the restaurant terrace.
Very lively ambiance, from mid-morning to late afternoon: music/sports videos showing on plasma screens inside, and DJs pumping out music to an animated external snow-patio. Full bar service, plus snacks menu.
