Sector: Pied Moutet (Vallée Blanche)
Mid-altitude location, reachable via the
Super Venosc,
Pied Moutet and
Maïs pistes; useful when the lower slopes below this point are patchy and/or slushy.
On the journey up, the pistes below you to the looker's right are the
Pied Moutet (nearest) and the parallel
Maïs. The whole hillside under the lift-line is wide open, and provides good freeriding on powder days.
On Arrival: there is a picnic spot straight ahead, and the
Troïka bar/restaurant is immediately to the looker's left: U-turn to the skier's left on dismount, passing under the lift-line to traverse to the start of the
Pied Moutet,
Maïs, and/or the
Vallée Blanche & Cimes (good on-site directional signage).
