Sectors: Les Crêtes/Le Diable
Accessed from the skier's lefthand side of the
Petites Crêtes piste, midway down the
Crêtes piste; reachable on-piste from
Le Diable 2400, or accessed via the
Petites Crêtes chairlift (29) from
Les Crêtes 2100. The entrance is on the ridge, directly under the line of the Jandri 1 gondola (the ‘White Eggs’, lift number 25).
Similar in profile to
Le Y, this tough ungroomed descent is often mogulled, but is wide enough to offer a number of different rides: from the almost pisted surface on the most popular lines, to the deeper powder pockets on either side; and with a huge gully to the skier's right beckoning the most advanced riders.
Once you reach the top of the main base-area slopes, you can then traverse to almost any point along the edge of Les Deux Alpes town.
