Snowsports Schools
There is no shortage of choice when it comes to ski schools and courses available, with everything from standard group lessons for absolute beginners and progressing novices, up to advanced one-to-one teaching clinics for advanced standard all-mountain riders, for all forms of skiing and snowboarding.
Public Group Classes
Package holiday guests generally join the public group classes, graded according to ability level, age group, and language: these provide up to 3 hours tuition daily for 6 days (Sunday–Friday); they are also available for morning-only slots on Saturdays (for a supplemental fee).
Reduced rate prices apply for children aged 6–12 years.
Children aged 3–5 years have their own Snow Garden zones; and from the age of 6 they can join the regular classes out on the pistes, with every effort being made to ensure that, where possible, they are placed in similar age groups.
Private Lessons
Private instruction is also available, for all styles of Alpine & Nordic skiing, Telemarking, and snowboarding. Private lessons are priced per hour, per half-day, or per full-day; fees are generally the same for adults and children, with the cost per person in inverse proportion to the size of your group; expect to pay slightly more during February school holiday periods.
The French national ski school organisation, l'Ecole du Ski Fran├žais (ESF), has branch offices in each residential quarter of Les Deux Alpes.

The rival l'Ecole de Ski Internationale (ESI) organisation is represented by the
St-Christophe International Ski & Snowboard School, which is renowned for specialising in children's tuition & childcare.

There are also a number of smaller independent schools, and freelance instructors.
The following are some of the best:

European Ski & Snowboard School  Focused tuition from native British and/or advanced English-speaking instructors; maximum group size of four persons. Specialist courses offered for freeride, off-piste, and carving; with video analysis. All levels; adults & children.

Bureau des Guides  For advanced-level visitors, Les 2 Alpes' Bureau des Guides is also an excellent option. The team of high-mountain guides are [unlike standard ski instructors] qualified to guide on the off-piste glacier routes.
They also offer heli-skiing excursions to Italy, mountain search & rescue training, ice climbing, Via Ferrata rock climbing, snow-shoe excursions, and ski-touring trips to other regional ski stations.
