VALLÉE BLANCHE CHAIRLIFT (19)

9 Minutes Journey1481 m (1620 yd) Long
419 m (1375 ft) Rise2600 Passengers/Hour
Sector:  Pied Moutet (Vallée Blanche)
Based at roadside level, beside the place de l'Alpe de Mont-de-Lans roundabout and ski-bus stop at the northern end of Les Deux Alpes, at the base of this sector's principal pistes. The base-terminal area is wide and flat, and there is a conveyor belt to ease mounting.

The lift travels diagonally up the slopes, giving a bird's-eye view over most of the routes on this face of the mountain.

On Arrival:  at the upper terminal, dismount swiftly when you draw level with the lift-attendant's hut (the final pylon is further on, but there is quite a drop from the chair at that point): U-turn down to the skier's left for all routes.

There is a comprehensive information post (with piste map, directional signage, a clock, and a tool point) at the piste junction just below the chairlift's arrival point. Either turn to the skier's left there, under the line of the lift to stay high on the Vallons de Bons traverse track which links with the Fioc and Anémone runs, or turn to the skier's right [at the information post] for the Maïs run and/or to link with the Pied Moutet (20) & Super Venosc (21) chairlifts; otherwise, simply head straight down the fall line on the Vallée Blanche & Cimes pistes.
