Sector: Pied Moutet (Vallée Blanche)
Based at roadside level, beside the place de l'Alpe de Mont-de-Lans roundabout and
ski-bus stop at the northern end of Les Deux Alpes, at the base of this sector's principal pistes. The base-terminal area is wide and flat, and there is a conveyor belt to ease mounting.
The lift travels diagonally up the slopes, giving a bird's-eye view over most of the routes on this face of the mountain.
On Arrival: at the upper terminal, dismount swiftly when you draw level with the lift-attendant's hut (the final pylon is further on, but there is quite a drop from the chair at that point): U-turn down to the skier's left for all routes.
There is a comprehensive information post (with piste map, directional signage, a clock, and a tool point) at the piste junction just below the chairlift's arrival point. Either turn to the skier's left there, under the line of the lift to stay high on the
Vallons de Bons traverse track which links with the
Fioc and
Anémone runs, or turn to the skier's right [at the information post] for the
Maïs run and/or to link with the
Pied Moutet (20) &
Super Venosc (21) chairlifts; otherwise, simply head straight down the fall line on the
Vallée Blanche & Cimes pistes.
