Sector: Le Diable
A very short black run, really just a standard red, which provides access to the more testing
Diable run.
Access is straightforward: swoop down under the terrace of
Le Diable au Coeur bar/restaurant at Le Diable 2400, past the base terminal for the Super Diable
chairlift (34), and head towards the line of the Vallons chairlift (22). Ahead to the skier's right, crossing under the line of the Vallons chairlift, is an unmarked link-track over to join the nearby
Petit Diable piste for the highest access to the
Diable run; otherwise, turn to the skier's left under the lift for the
Vallons slope itself.
After a short easy access track to start, the
Vallons picks up pace by dropping on to the fall line on the wide open slope. Unfortunately, this lasts for no more than 200 m (219 yd) before it peters out to join a green-graded link-track for the final approach to the base terminal of the
Vallons chairlift (22). It is also possible to traverse past this lift terminal to join the
Diable run out to the skier's right.
