L'Escola & La Pleta Pistes
These are the main beginners' slopes, situated just above the upper base lodge area and only a short stroll from the ski school office (housed in a chalet next to the lodge building). A simple rope tow serves the ski-school monitored
L'Escola; the longer
La Pleta is served by two short button tows (Els Vailets and Els Marrecs).
The slopes are wide and gentle and definitely green in profile, but faster traffic also flows through this area on the parallel shared access routes of
Les Canals and
La Portella del Mig pistes. Beginners should keep over to the skier's right-hand side of
La Pleta, nearest to the woods, in order to stay clear of any passing riders; the separate
L'Escola piste is for absolute beginners only and is safely fenced-off from the main pistes, in its own little enclosure.
