Sector:  Arcalís Cirque
These enjoyable cruising reds are accessible via the steep L'Hortell button tow, although for the longest non-stop descent they are best approached via the higher Les Congestes piste using the main L'Abarsetar chairlift.

All three pistes share similar characteristics: all are fast standard reds with plenty of opportunities for freeriding off into the deeper snow to the sides and between the pistes, with boulder hucks amongst the well-spaced trees, providing masses of potential for putting in new tracks even many days after fresh snowfalls.

The prime L'Hortell piste begins in a wide confluence area beneath the line of the chairlift, to the skier's left of the entrance for L'Estadi d'Eslalom competition piste.
From this easy start, the descent then picks up pace off the crest of the hill; with a spur peeling off to the skier's left to begin El Bosc, which swoops across the wooded slopes towards the upper base lodge area.

L'Hortell itself continues down into another wide junction area a little further below: you can either go to the skier's left to remain on the prime route, or go to the skier's right to begin the variant L'Avetar piste; both routes provide good links to all of the base station lifts.
