Take To The Skies
The Pyrenees are even more breathtaking when seen from a bird's-eye viewpoint:

Helicopter rides can be taken from any of the helipads at Arinsal, Pal or the Coll de la Botella (Setúria Sector). When booking, you can also arrange to be picked up by car from your accommodation and driven to/from the take-off point.
As well as sightseeing trips, you can charter a helicopter for visits to other ski stations, for heli-skiing trips, or for airport transfers.

Alternatively, why not launch off the highest slopes harnessed to a steerable paragliding canopy, in tandem with a qualified pilot of course. It's an incredible sensation, soaring silently above the slopes, with skiers far below your feet, before landing on the edge of the pistes for a dramatic entrance at the base area.

Hot-air balloon flights can also be organised, but are restricted to certain times of the season and, of course, are dependent on favourable weather conditions. Flights normally last around one and a half hours, and you are shadowed by a vehicle that whisks you back to your resort afterwards.
It is essential to book well in advance.

Start Your Engines
Budding James Bonds and Lara Crofts will love the adrenaline buzz of this great motorsport. Each machine can carry two people: hold on tight as a passenger or take the controls yourself, tackling the course at your own pace or racing with an experienced guide.

A waymarked circuit winds through the woods in the Setúria Valley from the Coll de la Botella; additionally, there is a junior circuit for children at Pal's La Caubella base, equipped with special scaled-down kiddie-sized machines.

There is also a snowmobile and quad-bike circuit in the fields next to the gondola base station in the centre of Arinsal village.
