Sector: Arinsal
Newly installed for the 2008/09 season, this fast 6-pack replaced the rickety old fixed 2-seater which previously served as Arinsal's principal access point before the
Orriols gondola was installed down in the centre of the village.
This major upgrade now secures this link as a viable secondary access point to the ski area; particularly useful on those [rare] occasions when high winds interrupt the running of the gondola. It also supports the ongoing improvements to the snowmaking infrastructure on the home-run
Les Marrades piste, meaning that more visitors can now experience the satisfaction of completing summit-to-base descents on what is Andorra's greatest on-piste vertical drop.
Departs from the car park area in Arinsal's Cota suburb at 1550 m (5085 ft), next to the Aparthotel Crest, at the end of
Les Marrades run, and arrives next to the upper terminal of the gondola, facing the
base lodge at Comallempla 1950.
