Sector: Arinsal
Situated below and to the rear of the
Refugi bar/restaurant, this lift presents most beginners with their first experience of using a chairlift. Slow-moving and easy to get on, it is specifically geared and sited to provide novices with a progression route out of the main
beginners' zone. It is also handy for leaving the Refugi bar/restaurant area, otherwise you have to walk across the busy beginners' slopes to reach the
base lodge and main ski lifts.
On Arrival: at the top: dismount to the left or right for the short
El Cortal pistes, U-turning down either side of the lift-line (off to the left is the easiest); dismounting to the left also allows you to join the final section of Arinsal's arterial
Les Fonts run, splicing seamlessly into the
Bony slope running to the base lodge and main ski lifts.
