Access for Non-Skiers
A lift pass is not always required in order to take part in the alternative activities on offer, however, only the Arinsal and La Massana gondolas are accessible to non-skiing pedestrians (‘
Pedestrian Pass’ required).
Both Arinsal and Pal
base lodges are good places to meet up with on-piste friends, but you will need a vehicle in order to reach the Coll de la Botella area where many of the alternative activites are based.
Evening Spectacle
A weekly event held at Arinsal base lodge area, where the station's ski school instructors put on a display of synchronised riding just after sunset, holding flaming torches to light their way.
This is usually organised for tour operators, who combine this [spectator-only] event with sledging races and include
vin chaud and a fast-food meal at the
Panoramix restaurant in the price. DJs animate the roof terrace and face-painting is often available for children. Transport is provided to take you down to resort.
See tour operator reps for details, or, if you are travelling independently, enquire at the Vallnord information offices.
