Sector:  Arinsal
In the middle of Arinsal's upper snowbowl, just below the FreeStyle Area, a hulk of rocky higher ground and a deep ravine continue to defy the piste-bashers and give the area a wilder edge. Fenced off, but with few dangers for competent riders, this steep and rocky terrain presents an excellent introduction to off-piste, when snow cover is good.

The easiest drop-in point is off to the skier's left of the Port Vell piste, close to the uppermost pylon of the Salador button tow; the most challenging drop-in is over the high ground to the skier's right of Les Fonts piste, just past the FreeStyle Area, which necessitates leaping off overhanging rocks for a seriously steep huck into the ravine below.

The narrow flat floor of the ravine is sometimes pisted, and slices diagonally across the hillside to provide an easy exit to join Les Fonts piste.
