Sector: Arinsal
This is the principal access lift, departing from the centre of Arinsal village and rising to the
main base area at 1950 m (6398 ft). The approach is via a metal bridge over the river from the main road running through the resort. The
ski bus stops directly in front of the bridge, and there is a lift pass and information kiosk just to the looker's right of the turnstiles.
Queues can quickly build up here, but usually aren't too much of a problem except on Monday mornings when newly arrived groups are being guided en masse to their ski school induction.
Skis and snowboards must be secured in the outside holders (assistance given), ski poles should be taken inside the gondolas.
On Arrival: the upper terminal sits immediately in front of the
Arinsal base lodge: go ahead-right from the lift platform for the ski school and the
beginners' zone; otherwise, go ahead-left and around the side of the base lodge building to access the onward chairlifts serving the main ski area.
