Medical Centres
Well-equipped trauma and X-ray suites are located at both Pal and Arinsal
base lodges.
They are accessible from the pistes, so rescue sleds can be brought right up to the doors.
They are also close to the access roads and helicopter pads, in case emergency transport to hospital is required.
In cases of serious injury or illness, the medical centre staff will contact your insurance company, although you will have to pay on-site for any initial costs
(if excluded by any excess clauses on your policy).
Make sure that your
wintersports travel insurance covers heli-rescue, piste rescue and ambulance transport, as well as medical and hospital expenses.
