The gentle contour-hugging gradient of the Transversal forest trail
earned it a green grade from the piste management team, but this long and winding route is quite narrow and often gets very choppy underfoot following heavy usage; the lack of turning space also creates knots of slow-moving nervous users and it can, therefore, present a real challenge for absolute beginners. It should really be treated as a blue run.
The route follows the line of a hillside track, which snakes through peaceful dense forest, crossing the line of El Besurt II piste
before being joined from the skier's left by the steeper El Besurt piste
, then stretches over to the roadside get-on points for La Serra II
and La Carbonera chairlifts.
