From the Port Negre saddle, take the blue-graded ridge-run in the direction of La Capa button tow: about 20–25 m (22–27 yd) along, the
Tub del Coll begins by dropping off the skier's lefthand edge of the ridge. The entrance often has a pronounced lip to drop-in over, straight on to a challenging black-profile pitch which is frequently mogulled. The route then funnels into a steep natural halfpipe gully (the ‘Tub’), before finally mellowing to a fair red profile and sweeping out to join the lower section of the parallel
La Pala piste.
Also of note is a variation off to the skier's left of the uppermost section: a second, tougher, steep gully runs parallel to the
Tub del Coll just below the ridge. This used to form the route of another piste known as the ‘Lloses’, which eventually proved too difficult for the station to maintain due to the tricky access for piste-bashers. In good snow conditions this is well worth a play in by more advanced riders.
