Eating Out
The selected venues listed below are some of the most popular café-bars and recommended restaurants in the town of Pas de la Casa.
Please also read our guide to Andorran Gastronomy.

Pas de la Casa has a fair selection of pleasant cafés & patisseries, particularly in the narrow arcade-style passageways tucked behind the restaurant terraces on Avinguda d'Encamp. Most of the larger and better quality hotels also offer a café service in their lounge bars, and are often the best choice for a more refined après ski experience. In addition, virtually all of the town's bars also operate as local cafés, usually offering an all-day snack menu too.

As for restaurants, the town has a wide range, with something to suit most budgets and tastes: French, Spanish, Italian, Morrocan, Indian, Chinese, Tex-Mex and even Andorran!  Although the majority of mid-range establishments all tend to offer very similar standard ‘international’ fare, mainly focused on pizzas and grilled meats, many of Pas de la Casa's restaurants do have a more pronounced French influence than those in the other Andorra resorts, and so also tend to feature some traditional Alpine specialities such as raclettes and fondues too.

Café-bars are generally open from early morning until late in the evening.
Town restaurants are open 19:00hrs–midnight; most are also open at lunchtime.
Ski-Ride Ratings
Ski-Ride's restaurant reviews indicate the relative price bracket for each venue:
(£) = cheapest;
(£££+) = most expensive.

Avinguda d'Encamp
This main street at the foot of the slopes in the central base area in Pas de la Casa is lined with cafés & restaurants. Most have roadside terraces and cosy interior dining rooms, some with rear windows overlooking the contrastingly less-developed French territory to the east. Many also have tempting window displays filled with cakes & pastries, and function as coffee shops as well as full-service restaurants.

Some of the nicest are:
Del Roma; La Brasa; La Gratinada; La Gralella; and Café Portofino.

Auteuil Brasserie & Pizzeria (££)
Tucked away in an uninspiring back street, with an entranceway squeezed in between the shops on Carrer Sant Jordi. Fair range of good value pizzas and grills; pleasant interior.

Croissant Express (£+)
Proper ground coffee, warm croissants and fresh bread.
A little oasis of calm amongst all the retail madness on Carrer de Catalunya.
El Garantua (££)
Located at the entrance to the Paradis Blanc apartments on upper Avinguda d'Encamp. Extensive menu featuring classic French specialities, pizzas and grills.
Marquet (££)
Pleasant little wine & tapas bar. Located on Carrer de Bearn, next to Burger King.
Panda (££)
The in-house restaurant at the hotel of the same name, in Plaça dels Coprínceps. Excellent T-bone and fillet steaks, grills and fish dishes.

La Raclette (££)
Very good French restaurant with a pleasant décor & ambiance, yet incongruously sited in the dingy Carrer del Maia (a back street off Carrer de Catalunya).
Xadoc (££)
Attractive Moroccan restaurant with a cosy low-lit interior; featuring tasty tajines and cous cous. Accessible from the lower section of the Tubs piste, as well as via a flight of steps down from Carrer de la Solana.
