Medical Centres
Well-equipped trauma and X-ray suites are available at both Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig. They are located close to the main access roads and helipads, in case emergency transport to hospital is required.
The Pas de la Casa facility is situated in the centre of the town, and is accessible by ambulance from the roadside base-area slopes; the Grau Roig facility is housed in the main services building, accessible by rescue sled directly from the pistes.
In cases of serious injury or illness, the medical centre staff will contact your insurance company, although you will have to pay on-site for any initial costs
(if excluded by any excess clauses on your policy).
Make sure that your
wintersports travel insurance covers heli-rescue, piste rescue and ambulance transport, as well as medical and hospital expenses.
