Sector: Canillo
The only true challenge in the Canillo sector, and what a great blast it is.
It's more like a good red than a true black run, but no less worthy of a visit, giving a fast 1.4 km (1 mile) workout on a motorway-wide yet seldom groomed slope.
The entrance is off the
Rossinyol piste: the drop in is quite steep and very often mogulled, before the slope mellows out into an enjoyable red-equivalent runway, with lots of opportunities to launch off bumps and natural kickers.
Check your speed well before the finish area leading towards the chairlifts, because the run merges with the
Forn I piste which joins from the skier's right.
The fast
Portella chairlift is the closest lift (linking back to the ridge at the top of this run); the fixed Junior chairlift next to that rises to
El Forn's services hub level and the upper terminal of the
Canillo gondola.
