Sector: El Tarter
This challenging blue run, off the summit of the
Tossal de la Llosada, mirrors the
Oreneta & Teixó pistes parallel to the line of the Llosada button tow, but continues into the main El Tarter bowl and all the way to the
Riba Escorxada plain.
Its uppermost section also gives access to the Llosada cliffs & couloirs (advanced freeride riders only), off over the fence to the skier's right.
After a good workout on the wide and fairly steep upper pitch, you reach the base-terminal level of the
Llosada button tow (parallel to the skier's left):
either swing over to the lift, or keep straight down the red-equivalent fall-line veering to the skier's right into the main snowbowl. The enjoyable
Tamarro run can be reached by going high ahead-left; otherwise, the
Guineu continues down to the skier's right on to a fast straight, running out over a flatter crest before steepening again on a huge motorway-wide slope with plenty of bumps & dips.
The run finishes with a long gentle schuss out to the Riba Escorxada area. If you can maintain momentum on this final straight, it is possible to join the
Esquirol run ahead to create a summit-to-base descent all the way to El Tarter, a combined route of 5 km (3 miles).
