FOR CHILDREN ONLY!
This wonderful themed adventure trail was designed & created especially for Grandvalira's younger visitors, and is safely cordoned-off from the main pistes.
It's included on standard lift passes, but entry to it is restricted: open only to children under 12 years of age.
It is accessed via the
Pardal piste: reached using either the Pi de Migdia chairlift from the
Riba beginners' area, or the
Tarter chairlift directly from the
base station at El Tarter; or from the
Gall de Bosc piste if you are linking over from Soldeu's
Espiolets Plateau. The entrance to the Circuit is clearly visible on the skier's righthand side of the
Pardal piste, marked with flags and a kiddie-sized archway.
The trail follows a winding route through the woods, set out with colourful easy obstacles & cartoon characters. There is a little slalom course, some gently banked turns, and an exciting series of rolling bumps under low-hanging banners; there is also a series of hoops forming a tunnel, and a final ‘speed’ schuss with flashing lights and sirens at the exit out on to the lower section of the
Pardal piste close to the
Riba beginners' zone. The Pi de Migdia chairlift departs from this area, facilitating easy repeat circuits on this popular fun-piste.
Please note that the route isn't suitable for absolute beginners; children really need to be at least competent novices to be able to tackle the run. Ski school instructors usually bring children's classes here once they have mastered the basics.
The trail is patrolled by Grandvalira's entertainment team and by the ski school, but parents/guardians are permitted to accompany their own children if they don't want them to go in on their own.
