SKI BUS: GEL SKI SERVICE
Within the resort villages of Canillo, El Tarter and Soldeu themselves, there is no real need for a ski bus service because the gondola base stations are all within easy walking distance of most hotels and apartments.
However, if you want to move between the villages, or if you are staying in one of the separate satellite accommodation zones (in Vall d'Incles or Bordes d'Envalira), then you will need some form of transport.
There is a daily ski bus service provided by Grandvalira (called the Gel Ski Bus) which plies between Canillo and Grau Roig; via El Tarter, Vall d'Incles, Soldeu, and Bordes d'Envalira (and vice versa). It is free-of-charge for current Grandvalira lift-pass holders, and it runs from Canillo at 75-minute intervals every morning until mid-afternoon, thereafter at 90-minute intervals until early evening; the return service departs from Grau Roig 30 minutes later, with the same intervals between departures. NB: the last departures begin/terminate at Bordes d'Envalira.
LOCAL BUS SERVICES
Regular Scheduled Services
There are scheduled local bus services between all of the Grandvalira villages and the capital Andorra la Vella; these can be used to make local connections too.
Please note that you may be asked to take off your ski boots before you get on these inter-urban services (snowboarding boots can usually be kept on).
Local bus fares are very cheap. Timetables are posted on all bus stops and are available from the tourist office branches in the resorts.
