Sector: El Tarter
A handy alternative to the
gondola from
El Tarter base station, especially first thing in the mornings when queues build up at that main access point. The other advantages of this chairlift are that it allows you to ski-on/ski-off, meaning you can glide away immediately on arrival at the top to make the swiftest links with the onward lifts; it also delivers you a slightly higher point than the gondola does, thus creating a link with a direct on-piste route towards Soldeu.
On Arrival: at the upper terminal, you have two choices: either dismount sharply to the left to join the
Gall de Bosc forest-trail towards Soldeu, and to access the steep
Aliga back to El Tarter; or, dismount straight ahead and veer down towards the
Riba Escorxada services hub for all other options.
The entrance to the
Children's Circuit (open to under 12's only) is easily accessible just 100 m (109 yd) down on the skier's right.
