Last updated 20 June 2016

Introduction  ‘SkiRide’ (hereafter also ‘We’ and/or ‘Us’ and/or ‘Our’) means SkiRide Productions (also Ski-Ride Productions).
SkiRide are committed to protecting your privacy. SkiRide comply with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and aim to maintain consistently high levels of best practice in Our use and processing of your personal information.

How we use information you provide to Us  SkiRide use information We receive from you to provide the products or services you request from Us, to communicate with you and to personalise the information We send you. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
We store the information you provide to Us, including information provided via forms you submit from Our website(s), and information which We may collect from your Internet browser. Our servers, in common with almost all other web servers, log each page that you visit on Our website and all files that you download from Our website.
Examples of how We may personalise information We send you include: adding your name to the greeting on any Newsletter you sign-up to receive from Us; working out which departure airport, ferry port and/or rail terminal is closest to your location; and/or informing you about events/services/offers available in your location and/or area of interest.
Third parties may deliver to you some of the products and/or services that you request from Us: in such instances, whilst some or all of the information you provide to Us may be disclosed to those third parties, it will only be used for the delivery and administration of those specific products and/or services.
Where We ask you for your email address, postal address, or telephone number, this is to enable Us to contact you in relation to enquiries you have made, to contact you about relevant products and/or services you have ordered, to contact you if there is a problem with your request/order, or if there is another genuine reason for Us needing to contact you.
We use secure third-party payment gateways (e.g. PayPal) for all Our online transactions, so We will never ask you to reveal your credit or debit card details to Us in order to pay for Our products and/or services; such details will be handled securely by such third-party payment gateways who will then be responsible for ensuring that they are only used with your consent for the purposes of paying for the products and/or services you request from Us and/or for any related refunds where appropriate.
Occasionally, We may also use information We collect to notify you by post, telephone, email and/or SMS about new or existing SkiRide products or services or special offers, however, We will only do this if you have consented and opted-in to receive such notifications from Us.
Generally, by providing any requested information, you consent to SkiRide using that information for administrative purposes and for informing you of other SkiRide products and/or services: by post, telephone, email and/or SMS. We may also occasionally use information We collect from you to notify you about functionality changes to Our website(s).
Each time you receive information from Us, We will provide you with the option to decline to receive further such information from Us (i.e. to opt-out). If you wish to exercise your right to opt-out, please contact Us in accordance with the instructions included with the information We send;
As required by the Data Protection Act 1998, We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of all information you submit to Us.
Where We provide information to third parties (i.e. providers of products and/or services offered by SkiRide, or external data processing agencies such as mailing/shipping businesses) We exercise the strictest control over such third parties contractually, requiring them and any of their agents and/or suppliers to: 1) maintain the security and confidentiality of all such information and to restrict access to such information to their own employees; 2) use such information for agreed purposes only and prevent such information being used for any other purposes and/or by any other parties; 3) refrain from communicating with you other than when expressly concerning the products/services in question; 4) return such information to Us at the conclusion of any contract term and destroy/delete any copies made of all or any part of such information, unless copies are required to be kept to comply with any statutory regulations. Additionally, We restrict information disclosure to the absolute minimum necessary to provide you with the products and/or services in question.
In cases where you contact Us by telephone, We also reserve the right to ask you security questions (which We at our sole discretion deem appropriate), in order for Us to satisfy Ourselves that you are who you say you are.

Your Consent  Before you provide Us with any sensitive personal information, We will endeavour to make clear to you the reason(s) why We require it. We will also obtain your consent first. Otherwise, by providing Us with such information, you consent to the collection, use and processing of such information by SkiRide in order to provide you with information about Our products and services.
Please note that We provide Our products/services both within and outside of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA). Therefore, information you provide to Us may be transferred outside the EU and/or EEA. Occasionally, SkiRide may also use product and/or service providers outside the EU and/or EEA for the purposes of processing products/services and/or systems testing/maintenance. Some countries outside the EU and/or EEA do not apply the same levels of data security as the UK and/or other countries in the EU and/or EEA. By submitting your details in such circumstances, you consent to this transfer. We will always use every reasonable effort to ensure sufficient protections are in place to safeguard your sensitive personal information.
Subsequent to you purchasing any products and/or services from Us, SkiRide may enter into an arrangement for such products/services to be provided by a third party. In such instances, the terms and conditions of your contract with Us will ensure that you consent to any transfer and/or processing of sensitive personal information to/by such provider, subject to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and associated regulations.
If you submit error-correction information and/or suggestions to Us regarding SkiRide's published Copyright content, you agree that We can incorporate this into Our Copyright content and/or website, and to display any information you write about yourself; We will not publish any direct contact details, except where you specifically confirm that you wish such information to be published.
